KNO Impact: Newly established bus stand in Laroo, Kulgam gets lighting system | KNO

Kulgam, Mar 02 (KNO): The Municipal Council (MC) Kulgam in collaboration with Power Development Department (PDD) on Thursday fulfilled the demands of people by establishing a lighting system at Laroo Bus stand. The bus stand has been electrified days after the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) highlighted the issue of non-availability of electricity at Laroo Bus stand. An official said that the Municipal Council Kulgam today fulfilled the long pending demand of General Public as well as drivers by establishing a lighting system at Laroo bus stand. He said while electrifying the bus stand, Municipal Council Chairman Muneeb Ahmad Zargar, Executive Officer Municipal Council Kulgam, Irfan Ahmad Wani and Assistant Executive Engineer, Javid Ahmad were present. General public, shopkeepers and driver association expressed gratitude to the MC Kulgam and PDD for establishing the lightning system at the stand. Meanwhile, Muneeb Ahmad Zargar said that in the newly established stand, there was no lighting system available. He said it was the demand of people to install new lights here and today MC Kulgam & PDD department made the lights functional. “My message to transporters and shopkeepers is to take care of government property as it belongs to people only,” he said—(KNO)
